Meet the Principal - Raj Padarath (FCA)
Raj has an inherent passion for helping businesses solve complex legislative and regulatory problems and enhance the quality of their Auditing and Financial Reporting.
Raj established Audit Quality Consulting to enable a broader spectrum of businesses to leverage the unique expert knowledge and advice that he has acquired through his successful career driving regulatory oversight and ensuring legislative compliance in both the public and private sectors.
Raj's credentials include:
- Over 30 years' experience in private and public sector financial auditing and senior leadership experience in Australian and international audit regulation
- Seventeen year's experience in a senior leadership role at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), overseeing audit inspections at Australia's largest accounting firms, conducting financial reporting surveillances of listed companies and providing guidance around financial reporting and audit related policies
- Senior level Financial Audit and technical experience at the Queensland Audit Office (QAO) and a Big Four accounting firm for sixteen years
- Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and Registered Company Auditor
- Member of QAO Audit Quality Committee and CAANZ Quality Assurance Review Team
